We are a new community scheme supporting residents across Worthing by providing free vegan food and hygiene products on a drop-in basis to vegans and non-vegans in need. Our aim is to find a new way to give back during these challenging times. We feel there is a need for an all-vegan food bank in our town, so we decided to build a network of vegan-friendly, independent businesses in the Worthing area. The scheme is completely volunteer-led and relies on donations from locals and businesses where residents can Drop-in, Donate, and Claim non-perishable, in-date food and hygiene products. We are currently looking into expanding to a soup-kitchen offering and will be working with further independent, local businesses on opening other donation and claim points throughout Worthing. In addition to this, we have launched a donation based parcel delivery service and bi-monthly 'Food on the Table' local food handout events taking place in local parks across Worthing, for locals to receive free and nutritious vegan food.
